About the Company

Sellick Partnership are excited to be working with a construction and facilities company who are looking for a Commercial Construction Solicitor to join them on a permanent basis.

As a Construction Solicitor, you will be joining a prestigious company who deliver large scale construction projects across the world. The in-house legal team are actively looking to bring an experienced solicitor onto the team, who can immerse themselves into a commercial environment and work across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with previous legal experience in the construction industry, gained in either private practice or prior in-house function, to join a forward thinking organisation picking up major projects across both the UK and abroad.

As a Construction Solicitor, your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Working on a broad range of construction relation contracts, including; New Engineering Contract (NEC), Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT), International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC)
• Dealing with contentious construction matters, disputes and claims avoidance
• Work closely with insurance brokers and with external counsel on any arising issues when necessary
• Delivery of training programmes to the business on legal and contractual risks and issues

Experience of the Construction Solicitor:

• Qualified lawyer in England & Wales, or relevant jurisdiction
• Technical legal knowledge and commercial understanding of the construction industry
• Good negotiation skills
• Experience with contentious construction matters and a familiarity with reguatory environment would be advantageous but not essential
