An EL/PL Solicitor/Fee Earner is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a Top 50 Defendant law firm based in Liverpool .
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

The Client

The Team:
Casualty team provides a full, expert service in defending public and employers' liability claims, particularly workplace, public sector and claims against the emergency services. The team is second-to-none in providing defendant litigation services in these specialist areas. We operate on a national basis with dedicated workplace, public and police teams.

The Role:
Working in the dedicated Commercial Casualty team based out of Liverpool or Manchester with your own caseload of predominantly fast track claims (and/ or multi track depending on experience), and assisting with higher value multi track claims. We receive direct instructions from both insureds and insurers across a range of industries nationally.

You will be responsible for the running of the day to day of your cases including liaising with clients, opponents, court, witnesses and undertaking your own liability investigations.

Main duties and responsibilities
* Predominantly PI including EL and PL
* Complete MI procedures as and when required
* Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
* Ensure relevant deadlines, SLAs, quality measures and KPI's are adhered to

About You:

You will have previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have/be:
* Previous experience at managing defendant EL/PL casualty claims is essential
* 0-2YRS PQE
* Working knowledge of PL and EL Law
* Experience of handling own casualty caseload
* Good influencing skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
