Salary: £47,573 - £48,587 per annum

Sellick Partnership are proud to be working with an excellent legal services team in the heart of Greater Manchester. We are looking for a Senior Adults Lawyer to join the Social Care and Safeguarding team to provide advice and representation in all areas of adult social care law.

Key duties of the Senior Adults Lawyer:
As Senior Adults Lawyer, you will be primarily responsible for providing advice, assistance and representation in court in relation to adult social care, such as DOLs and Court of Protection matters. In addition, you will supervise the work of junior members of staff as and when required.
You will be an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council's services, you will be a positive and highly motivated person who is confident, versatile and innovative.
Ideal requirements of the Senior Adults Lawyer:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with adult social care matters and have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to communicate effectively with officers internally, and externally with courts, barristers, professional bodies, and members of the public is essential.
Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established lawyer with a good understanding of adults social care law to join a progressive organisation and diversify their skillset and experience. You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/FILEX with a current Practising Certificate.
