Private Client Lawyer
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000

We are seeking a client-focused Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established legal practice in Barnsley that provides a full range of legal services to individuals and businesses across South Yorkshire and beyond.

About the Role
As a Private Client Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, providing sensitive, practical and tailored advice to individuals and families. You will play a key role in supporting clients through important life decisions, offering clear guidance and maintaining the highest levels of client care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing a caseload of private client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration.
• Advising clients on inheritance tax planning and estate planning strategies.
• Drafting Wills, trusts and related documentation.
• Handling the administration of estates from instruction through to distribution.
• Providing compassionate and clear advice to clients during sensitive situations.
• Liaising with beneficiaries, executors, financial advisers and other professionals.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm standards.

Who We're Looking For
You will be:

• A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive and or relevant experience in private client work.
• Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Technically strong with a sound understanding of probate and estate administration processes.
• Client-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
