Reports to: Conveyancer 

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and friendly Conveyancing Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting clients through the home‑moving process, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering work to a high standard. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our conveyancers are supported day‑to‑day and that clients receive a smooth, reassuring experience from start to finish.

This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to be part of a supportive, down‑to‑earth team within an established law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and telephone calls

  • Opening new files, preparing client care packs, and carrying out initial onboarding checks

  • Ordering searches and reviewing results for accuracy and completeness

  • Drafting standard documents, forms, and letters under supervision

  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other solicitors to progress matters

  • Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate file records

  • Assisting with preparing contract packs and supporting the exchange and completion process

  • Chasing outstanding documents and ensuring key milestones are met

  • Providing general administrative support to the conveyancing team

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing support role (e.g., Conveyancing Assistant, Administrator, or similar)

  • Strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment

  • Familiarity with AML checks, onboarding processes, and Land Registry applications
