I'm currently working with a leading national law firm that is looking to strengthen its Professional Liability team in Manchester, with Leeds also considered.

The team has an excellent reputation for handling complex, high-value professional indemnity and insurance disputes and is currently ranked Tier 2 in the Legal 500.

The opportunity:

Join a specialist Professional Liability team within a well-regarded wider Civil Litigation practice
Work across professional indemnity, property damage, public liability and D&O matters, including coverage issues
Manage your own caseload while supporting Partners on larger, multi-million-pound disputes
Act for a varied client base across sectors including construction, accountancy, technology, healthcare and not-for-profit
Gain exposure to subrogated recovery work and instructions from major insurers
Genuine scope for progression and development within a growing team

What they're looking for:

Solicitor with around 1-5 PQE
Background in professional indemnity, insurance litigation, property damage or a related area
Defendant experience preferred
Experience advising insurers on policy coverage would be particularly useful
Someone comfortable managing their own matters and keen to continue developing their expertise
