Our client is a top 100 national commercial law firm is looking to recruit an experienced pensions solicitor at senior associate level (4PQE+) to be based in the Leeds office.
FIRM
The FIRM is a corporate / commercial practice that provides comprehensive legal and advisory services to hundreds of businesses including health and social care, housing and government.
TEAM & ROLE
We are looking for someone able to support the TEAM in growing for the future.
The TEAM provides commercial and client-based advice on all aspects of pension provision in both the public & private sectors.
Experience and exposure of working with LGPS, NHSPS and CSPS would be helpful as the TEAM provides a full range of services to clients including creation, operation, restructuring compliance and winding up issues for all types of pensions schemes.
YOU will have the opportunity to support a diverse range of clients across the range of sectors.
The depth and breadth of the markets in which the TEAM operates provides the opportunity and flexibility to work on novel and complex pension law issues across both contentious and non-contentious matters.
There is also wide scope to develop expertise in particular schemes or types of pensions work, if of interest.
The TEAM support pensions scheme investments and provides transactional support across all sectors of the firm including drafting pensions schedules and admission agreements and supporting lenders with advice around pensions risks on transactions.
In addition to the usual support for clients across all schemes the TEAM helps with defending ombudsman complaints, hostile claims against third parties and non-hostile high court proceedings.
YOU
To be successful YOU will have the following skill sets / experience:-
* Be a qualified solicitor with at least 4+ years' pensions experience; * Have an exceptional attention to detail; * Be comfortable with multi-tasking and working to tight timescales; * Understand positive client support and helps to manage client expectations and project delivery both internally and externally; * Interested and competent in business development; * Work co-operatively in terms of sharing information and knowledge with more junior team members.
