A leading UK law firm is looking for a post-completion fee earner to join their real estate team, in Nottingham.


THE ROLE

As a fee earner in the post-completion team, you will manage a busy caseload of SDLT and LTT Returns for a range of basic to intermediate level transactions, with a significant amount of lease renewal work. The work allocated will have been seen by a senior member of the team prior to you receiving it. As you progress within the team, you will review initial instructions into the team, triage matters, raise any queries re missing information, make any necessary referrals to the tax team, allocate work to junior members of the team and supervise the production of that work, manage a caseload of intermediate to complex matters and refer any complex work up to the head of the team. You will carry out the SDLT/LTT calculations (not just fill in the relevant tax returns) based on information provided by the transactional legal advisor for the matter.


ABOUT YOU

- You will have strong technical skills in the completion of SDLT and LTT returns
- You will have experienced running SDLT/LTT calculations and creating the relevant returns for commercial transactions
- You will have experience in running property transactions, new leases running from grant, backdated new leases and renewals of leases
- You will have management experience
