Our client is a well-established specialist commercial employment law firm is looking to recruit an experienced pensions solicitor (8/9pqe+) at senior associate / partner level.
The FIRM is a boutique practice that provides comprehensive legal and advisory services to hundreds of businesses. As the employer-employee landscape has changed dramatically since they started out, the FIRM has evolved and extended services accordingly. So nowadays they deal with all legal issues relating to people in the workplace, from employment law to business immigration, from pensions to other corporate employment services including incentives.
The Pensions TEAM has advised UK businesses, individuals and trustee boards on the full spectrum of pensions issues for well over a decade. The sectors include media, professional services, retail, pharmaceutical, tech and healthcare.
The TEAM advises on public sector pension arrangements as well as the private sector. This includes advising employers and individuals on the Teachers Pension Scheme, LGPS (Local Government Pension Scheme) and NHS Pension Schemes.
To be successful YOU will:-
*Be at least 8PQE+. *Have gained experience at a top City/named regional law firm or niche practice within the sector. *Be comfortable dealing with a broad range of quality Pension matters including:-
-All aspects of pension provision for employers & trustees. -Pensions angles to M&A, joint ventures, capital raising, restructuring, finance & insolvency. -Occupational pension scheme documentation & design for employers, trustees & insurance companies. -Scheme documentation, design & regulatory advice for insurance companies & other providers. -Pension scheme disputes, Pension Ombudsman complaints & litigation. -Strategic changes to pension provision including pension scheme mergers, restructuring pension arrangements & winding-up schemes. -Funding issues. -The use of contingent assets, including PPF guarantees. -Public sector pension arrangements including admission agreements in relation to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) & alternative pension arrangements.
*Have additional experience of advising on pensions issues arising on corporate transactions or corporate experience. *Have a positive and charismatic personality with the ability to hit the ground running bringing significant added value to the role. *Also have a range of potential to exploit and bring safely into the firm showing ability past and current to work the market, promote self and firm as well as developing your own practice.
