Senior Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer (Maternity Cover) – Leasehold Transactions
Full-time Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Licensed Conveyancer. Ideally 5+ years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience for Licensed Conveyancers), although applications from candidates with relevant expertise will be considered.

The successful candidate will join an in-house legal team. This role focuses on managing a varied caseload of transactional leasehold matters, supporting the wider legal team and providing commercially focused legal advice to the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property lawyer to join a busy, collaborative in-house legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of transactional leasehold matters including:
  • Lease Extensions
  • Collective Enfranchisements
  • Deeds of Variation
  • Licences
  • Residential property transactions
• Providing clear, commercial legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to facilitate property transactions.
• Supporting junior members of the legal team where required, including providing guidance on day-to-day matters.
• Liaising with external solicitors and professional advisers as necessary.
• Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently.
• Assisting with other property-related legal work as required.

Experience

The ideal candidate will:

• Have substantial experience in residential property and transactional leasehold work, ideally gained in private practice or an in-house legal team.
• Have demonstrable experience handling transactional leasehold reform matters, including Lease Extensions, Collective Enfranchisements, Deeds of Variation and related landlord and tenant work.
• Highly organised individual with the ability to manage a busy workload and promote efficiency within a department
• Provide practical and commercially focused advice on leasehold and residential property matters to internal stakeholders.
• Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Hybrid working is available, although regular office attendance will be required to support effective collaboration with the legal team and wider business.
