Defendant Fraud Fee Earner - Remote Working - UK Law Firm

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Manchester office if required)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits
Experience Required: 5+ years PQE in Defendant RTA/Fraud litigation

A highly regarded UK-based claims and loss adjusting group is seeking an experienced Defendant RTA/Fraud Fee Earner to join its legal team. This is a fully remote role offering a rare opportunity to work within a specialist, close-knit team handling high-quality litigated fraud cases across the motor space.

The Role

You will manage a diverse caseload of Defendant RTA claims with a particular focus on suspected fraudulent cases - including LVI, staged accidents, phantom passengers, and exaggerated losses. Many matters proceed to litigation, including multi-track level. The work is challenging and fast-paced, offering exposure to complex fraud indicators and strategy-driven litigation.

You'll work within a small, agile ABS law firm, connected to a wider insurance and claims group. The team includes experienced litigators and an award-winning partner with a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Handle a caseload of litigated motor fraud claims, often with credit hire and exaggerated injury elements

Conduct thorough investigations, including analysis of fraud intelligence and expert evidence

Draft pleadings, witness statements, and applications, and conduct hearings as appropriate

Work autonomously, with support from senior colleagues when needed

Engage with insurer clients and maintain excellent service standards

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a confident, technically strong litigator who can demonstrate:

5+ years' PQE or equivalent experience in Defendant RTA/fraud work

Strong fraud litigation background, with experience in LVI, staged accident, and similar claims

Comfortable working independently and remotely

Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEx), or experienced Fee Earner

Solid understanding of CPR, case strategy, and fraud indicators

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
