Recoveries Paralegal Litigation Executive / Fee Earner - Bolton

Recoveries Litigation Executive / Fee Earner - This is one of the leading Recoveries teams in the country and sits within the wider Credit Hire and Recoveries group. The team is looking for those with Recoveries, Credit Hire or general Personal Injury experience to handle a caseload of small claims litigated delegated authority subrogated recoveries files.

• Reports to: Team Leader
• Previous experience: Strong appreciation of recoveries files at all stages of the claims process. Good knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and an awareness of RTA Insurer and Article 75 status. Experience of Part 7.

Small claims litigation

The role involves a range of skills whilst handling a caseload of litigated small claims Recoveries claims. The successful candidate may also be asked to help and supervise less experienced colleagues. In particular, the hiring managers are looking for someone who can:

• Review and analyse recoveries files at any stage in the litigation process, and in accordance with the client guidelines set out in the SLA
• Develop and maintain client relationships, always keeping the client at the heart of every decision
• Develop an initial case strategy for a given matter which will then be approved by the Team Leader
• Conduct legal research when required
• Liaise with all parties including the insured and insurers and help to guide the claimant through the litigation process.
• Draft claim forms and other court documents
• Draft credit hire claims where they are associated with a given subrogated recovery

This role will give you valuable experience handling litigated work as well as interacting with key clients of the firm and helping to train and develop others. Furthermore, the recoveries team is seen as an excellent springboard into other areas and departments as well as a team where training contacts as well as other routes to qualification are offered.
