We are working with a highly regarded international law firm looking to appoint an experienced and commercially minded Restructuring & Insolvency lawyer to join its established Manchester practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience across contentious and/or non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters who is looking for high-quality work, meaningful client responsibility and the opportunity to develop their own profile within a well-regarded team.

The role sits within a cross-office Restructuring & Insolvency practice, offering exposure to a broad range of complex and commercially significant matters. The team acts for a wide range of stakeholders, including office holders, directors, lenders and creditors, providing excellent exposure to the full spectrum of restructuring and insolvency work.

The Opportunity
You will:

· Advise office holders, directors, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters

· Act for office holders and purchasers in relation to distressed business and asset sales

· Handle insolvency-related litigation, including breach of duty, transactions at undervalue and other recovery claims

· Work on complex and fast-moving matters where clients require pragmatic, commercially focused advice

· Work closely with experienced Partners and lawyers across the wider national and international Restructuring & Insolvency team

· Develop and strengthen your own client relationships and profile within the restructuring and insolvency market

· Contribute to business development, networking, client training, seminars and thought leadership initiatives

· Build strong relationships with leading insolvency practitioners, restructuring advisers and other key market contacts

· Take genuine responsibility for matters and play an active role in the continued development of the Manchester practice

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Restructuring & Insolvency lawyer with strong technical expertise and a commercially minded approach. You will have experience in either contentious or non-contentious insolvency and restructuring work, with the ability to manage matters effectively and provide pragmatic advice to clients.
