Contracts Manager - 12 Month FTC (Media/Advertising) Central London £60,000 - £65,000 DOE
Currently hiring for a full-time Contracts Manager (12 month FTC) position for an international Marketing & Advertising business, who are looking for a legal professional to join their highly regarded commercial function in Central London. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the General Counsel for the UK and Ireland and taking on a wide range of commercial responsibilities.
This role will suit candidates who have worked within a fast-paced sales business, supported a sales team, or worked within professional services.
The successful Contracts Manager will be taking on a range of commercial responsibilities, whilst drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with clients, media owners and suppliers. My client works with a range of household names within the; Software, Finance, FMCG and Luxury Goods sector. Working within this well-established business will allow you to develop as a lawyer and build on your professional skills from day one.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating an array of commercial agreements.
Providing advice in connection with contract interpretation, external audits, dispute resolution and negotiation strategy.
Provide legal support and guidance in relation to development and deployment of new commercial initiatives.
Provide support to commercial and finance teams in contractual negotiations with clients and suppliers. This includes being able to competently provide a risk assessment of proposed client contracts, clearly distinguishing between critical and less critical risks.
Developing and delivering training and legal risk management initiatives to assist senior management in managing legal risk (e.g. business training, legal updates, etc.) and managing contract compliance.
Assist with implementation of best-practice in compliance and contracts management.
3+ years of contracts drafting experience
Proven experience in working on and managing complex and large-scale contracts or transactions
Some experience in risk management and managing compliance programs, including the drafting of policies and procedures
