An award-winning national law firm is looking to recruit a newly qualified or 1PQE Banking & Finance Associate to join its highly regarded Leveraged Finance team, with opportunities available in Manchester or Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team within a national practice that is highly ranked for its finance work and known for its collaborative, supportive culture and high-quality client base.

The Role
You'll play a key role in a national team, working alongside leading partners and senior associates, with a particular focus on:

Leveraged finance, sponsor-led transactions, corporate financings, and growth/venture lending

Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents (LMA and non-LMA), and intercreditor arrangements

Supporting transactions across the entire lifecycle, from conditions precedent and execution through to in-life portfolio management (waivers, bolt-ons, restatements)

Collaborating closely with the firm's corporate and restructuring teams on integrated deals

Participating in client development and profile-raising initiatives within the North of England

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career solicitor to build on skills developed during a training contract, move into a more client-facing role, and take real responsibility within a dynamic and fast-paced team.

About You
Newly qualified or up to 1 year PQE in England & Wales

Some exposure to leveraged finance, general banking, or cashflow lending during your training contract or early PQE experience

Confident working with lenders, borrowers, and intermediaries

Proactive, commercially minded, and keen to develop strong technical and client skills

Looking to join a team where you can take real ownership of matters and progress rapidly
