We are looking for a specialist property litigation lawyer to join our growing property litigation team.
Our property litigation offering is managed as part of the Corporate Commercial team here at Hempsons and our property litigators work closely with our real estate teams and across all fives offices.
They provide dispute resolution services for a broad range of clients in the health, social care, charities and social enterprise sectors.
The team currently comprise of a one Partner, one Associate and a Solicitor. The successful candidate can be based at any of our fives offices including; London, Manchester, Harrogate, Newcastle or Southampton. We offer a Hybrid Working environment so the flexibility to work from the office and at home is available.
The candidate will be expected to have gained a good solid grounding in commercial Property Litigation work or completed a seat during their training contract and regard it as an area of specialist knowledge. A flavour of some areas in which experience would be an advantage are: service charge disputes; lease renewals; insolvency (in a property context); overage disputes; professional negligence; rent reviews; possession claims; and dilapidations claims.
As a result of growth, the team is seeking to appoint a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to be based in any of our fives offices.
The candidate would have the opportunity to join an established and ambitious team, may expect to receive outstanding support and mentoring and be exposed to interesting and complex work.
Skills and Competencies:
You will have:
• Solid grounding in commercial real estate litigation or completed a seat during your training contract.
• An aptitude for engaging with our various health and social care clients as well as commercial clients
• A strong teamwork ethos, we all work with colleagues across our four offices
• Excellent organisational skills
• An appreciation of the need to comply with internal and client data security guidelines
