Paralegal- Complex Injury - Coventry

Complex Injury- Paralegal- Coventry - An excellent opportunity to gain experience in large loss and complex injury work including assisting catastrophic cases valued from £100k to £1M.

• Salary: Up to 27,000
• Work pattern: Hybrid
• Term: Permanent
• Previous experience: Experience and understanding of EL/PL and the litigation process.

A varied and unique caseload.

This unique role provides exposure to high value multi-track and catastrophic injury claims including assisting on multi-million pound brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and fatal claims. You will be required undertake a variety of file handling tasks to support the Complex Injury Claims Team. Key accountabilities will include:

• Preparing, filing, and serving court documents and diarising of court orders and hearing dates
• Liaising with insureds and witnesses and experts.
• Drafting of witness summons
• Reviewing medical records, photographic evidence and surveillance footage and drafting summaries of those reviews
• Ensuring legal privilege is maintained and there are no GDPR breaches

The ideal applicant

The role is suited someone who already has experience working in a paralegal or similar role in a personal injury team and is looking to develop their skills and career in complex injury claims. The ideal candidate will also:

• Have experience of and understanding of the litigation process
• Show particular attention to detail when dealing with repetitive tasks
• Possess a good telephone and communication skills with people at all levels
• Remain calm under pressure
• Be organised and prioritise tasks using initiative

Flexible / remote working

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with the option of working 1 day per week in the office and 4 days working from home.
