To achieve this we embarked on a new transformation journey across the firm, with our finance function transforming extensively from technically and operationally, hence we are looking to hire a Web Intelligence Report Writer. This is a new role within the central Finance MI reporting team, the key aim of this role is to help us develop and streamline our existing reporting catalogue, specifically those which use SAP Business Objects. The role will include gathering and understanding the requirements of the finance user community and an ability to translate these into efficient and standardised reports. We are also keen to upskill the existing team, therefore the role will include an element of on the job training of other team members.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* The development of new web intelligence reports in line with business requirements and priorities set by senior stakeholders

* Amending and maintaining the existing Reporting catalogue, always seeking ways to improve on existing reports

* Helping to develop innovative & creative approaches to our financial reporting – encouraging the use of technology over excel

* Liaising with business users to understand their requirements of new or existing reports and planning how to re-write or write new reports to suit these requirements

* Understanding the complexities and bespoke nature of our existing report portfolio and helping to standardise and simplify this over time

* Supporting the training and development of other MI team members, including creating training and support documentation

* Helping to manage the creation of a reporting catalogue and change request process

ABOUT YOU

* Experience using and writing reports in SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence and similar reporting & visualisation solutions

* Ability to understand and translate business requirements into reporting solutions

* An understanding of financial information and accounting is desirable but not essential

* Experience as a report writer / developer or similar with proven analytical skills

* Ability to handle multiple priorities, working to sometimes conflicting timescales in a fast-paced and challenging environment

* Ability to build trust and rapport to develop effective relationships, both internally and externally

* Have experience of training or mentoring individuals in report writing

* Have a passion for understanding data and data visualisations
