The Team
The team's work is focused on charity and not-for-profit clients. They have also have a sizeable commercial sector clientele, many of whom are within the impact economy sector. They handle some high profile Trade Mark portfolios.
Their work encompasses trade mark searching and registration, in the UK and worldwide; they help clients with licensing, and with resolving IP-related disputes of all kinds. Unlike many other law firms, the trade marks team is comprised entirely of specialised Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys who boast decades of experience in helping clients most valuable assets: its brand, copyright works, technology (in the forms of patents and designs) and know-how.
The Role
This is a senior position meaning you will take a lead role in providing interesting, household name, clients with strategic advice and guidance on the full remit of their trade marks needs.
The Candidate
You will be a fully (CITMA) qualified Trade Mark Attorney with a solid history in this sector, gained in private practice at a specialist firm or department. You will have experience of conducting opposition and cancellation proceedings before the UKIPO and EUIPO as well as drafting and negotiating trade mark licenses, co-existence agreements, and settlement agreements
