The Role
This role will provide the opportunity to build upon the experience you have already gained and will enable you to advise on a wide variety of matters including property acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, secured lending, corporate support and development projects; combining an understanding of commercial property with the requirements and constraints faced by the health and social care and not-for-profit sectors.
The Team
Our Real Estate team have considerable experience of acting on public, private, charitable and mainstream commercial schemes, with multi-sector expertise which we believe is rarely found in any other law firm.
Our aim is to provide an efficient, friendly and jargon-free service. The key to achieving this aim is to understand each client’s goals, whether corporate or individual, public sector or private. As a national team we work collaboratively (within the real estate team and with other teams within the firm) and office location is not a barrier to becoming involved in interesting and quality projects.
We are open to applications from a motivated Solicitor NQ-3 PQE to join our expanding team and work with them on the extensive range of services we provide. You will be able to gain an insight into all aspects of commercial property law in the healthcare and third sector areas. You will be encouraged to be involved in business development activity the team engage in and will have a real opportunity to develop your career with Hempsons.
Your key responsibilities could include but not be limited to:
Commercial property transactions including disposals and acquisitions, landlord and tenant, secured lending, corporate support and development projects.
Partnership arrangements including deeds and declarations of trust for GPs and other healthcare practitioners.
Advising NHS trusts and organisations, GPs, dentists and other healthcare practitioners, charities and other third sector organisations and private clients.
Skills and Competencies:
Previous wide-ranging experience working within commercial property law or a completed commercial property seat in your training contract.
Flexible and willing to take on a varied workload.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of people at all levels.
Strong IT skills with knowledge of working with an in-house case management system.
Able to work within strict client protocols and in compliance with client data security guidelines.
Experience within healthcare and the NHS would be advantageous.
