Job summary

Do you have a passion for pensions law and would like to join our friendly and collegiate pensions team, developing your career in this area and learning from the best?

We are looking to recruit a Solicitor/Associate for the Pensions team in either Aberdeen, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.  We are also open to applications UK wide.

Our Pensions team is known for being friendly and collegiate, and working across all three of our offices. We have an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally, for the high-quality service and advice we provide to trustee, employer, local authority and pension provider clients. The successful candidate will work alongside Sarah Phillips and Margaret Meehan, partners in our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

Candidates should have experience in corporate transactional support work, and general pensions law experience, reflecting their level of qualification.  Experience of advising on DC schemes and master trusts, and on contentious pensions matters, would be an advantage, but is not essential.  English and Scots law qualified lawyers are encouraged to apply.

The role will involve assisting more senior members of the team.

You must have a passion for pensions law, be pragmatic and results-focused, and be able to work under pressure and to tight timescales as a key member of our team. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, excellent written and oral communication skills, and who are determined to provide a first-class service to clients. The desire to work in a close-knit team and a strong work ethic are also essential.
