Head of Legal

National Legal Service works in partnership to our sister company National Centre for Domestic Violence who are Community Interest Company and are the leading organisation in the UK helping to protect victims of domestic abuse by obtaining emergency civil injunctions. NCDV provides a free, fast emergency service to those in need regardless of their financial circumstances.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an individual to head up our Legal teams covering our Legal Aid and Pro Bono teams.

Our Pro Bono and Legal Aid teams are fundamental in the service that we offer and as such, we require a professional manager to join a skilled and motivated workforce.

This role is a strategic position requiring someone who can deliver exceptional client care and co-ordinate all of our caseworkers and manage our network of volunteers (McKenzie Friends).

You will also provide advice and guidance to the business based upon any updates to the Family Law Act.

The position would ideally suit someone who currently practices, or has previously practiced, as a family law solicitor and who possesses the drive and skills to manage a dynamic team.

Along with legal qualifications and management skills, candidates should have excellent computer literacy, administration, attention to detail and written and oral communication skills.
