This large Plymouth law firm have a senior vacancy for a Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive to join their leading and well-established Disputes & Litigation Department – Civil Litigation Role.

The successful candidate will possess significant experience of handling a varied civil litigation case load with the confidence to work largely independently.

The role can be undertaken through a combination of homeworking and time at their office in Plymouth. They are willing to consider varied and flexible arrangements which can be agreed based on your needs.

Salary will be dependent upon experience and calibre of the candidate, but they are willing to consider any candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience.

Personal Specification:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Relevant experience of management of a varied civil litigation case load, including property related disputes (commercial and residential), commercial contracts disputes, money claims and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Advocacy experience.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other business sources.
  • Ability to work well under pressure within stipulated timescales and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Enjoy working in a team and ability to work using own initiative.
  • Empathetic whilst dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Modern IT skills.
  • Professional and positive work attitude with the ability to embrace change.
  • Willingness to attend courses and webinars to increase knowledge and understanding.
  • Ability to work towards and meet the firm’s core competencies.
