The Role & Team
We are seeking a NQ-2pqe solicitor to join the Birmingham based team. The role offers a fantastic mix of both contentious and non-contentious work, for a range of high profile clients, under the guidance and supervision of partners and senior solicitors in the team.
The team undertakes a wide range of construction work for major employers and developers including Jaguar Land Rover, Manchester City Football Club, Calthorpe Estates, Roxhill Developments, Keepmoat Homes Limited, Mountpark, Taylor Wimpey, Lovell Partnerships, and Harworth Estates (formerly UK Coal).
We also act for a wide variety of national and international banks including HSBC, Natwest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander advising funders on construction finance matters.
Work ranges from reviewing ad-hoc consultants’ appointments and collateral warranties to drafting, negotiating and preparing the full suite of construction agreements required to deliver schemes and projects to providing full legal support in resolving disputes that may arise through litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation.
High levels of early responsibility within a very supportive national team, full involvement in business development activities and the opportunity to attend client and industry events can be expected.
Key Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will hold strong academics, including a 2:1 degree, and will have successfully completed a construction training seat within a recognised construction/real estate practice. Clearly able to demonstrate a strong desire to establish your career in construction law, you will also have:
