The Firm:

My client is a full-service law practice based in the North West, although established in 2008 in their current form, their roots back be traced back 250. They have 5 offices across Cheshire and 1 in London.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Employment Solicitor either starting out in their career or already established who would like a bit of diversity as well a new challenge. My client are offering the opportunity to manage a dual caseload of Employment Law as well as Commercial Litigation.

  • Providing advice on employment law issues to SMEs
  • Settlement agreements
  • Drafting of policies and contracts
  • Disclosures
  • TUPE
  • Undertaking Advocacy at the Employment Tribunals

Commercial caseload

  • Commercial contract disputes
  • Partnership law and disputes
  • Landlord and Tenant disputes
  • Property litigation.

Key Skills & Experience:

The firm is looking for a proactive Employment Solicitor with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships with a strong commercial mind set. Ideally, they are looking for someone who can manage their own caseload with light supervision.

It would be beneficial if the candidate has high level of academic attributes, a driven and professional manner, with bags of enthusiasm and strong organisational skills.

Advocacy is a strong advantage; it would be advantageous for you to have at least 3 years PQE. Experience of Commercial litigation would be an advantage but not essential as full training would be provided (client is looking to train the right person)
