Based in our York office, we are looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join our established team.

The ideal candidate will have experience acting and advising in relation to the full spectrum of commercial property work including the following key areas:

* Landlord and tenant including drafting and negotiating leasehold documentation to include leases (head leases, underleases, reversionary leases), licences (licence to underlet, licence to alter, licence to assign) and also deeds (deed of variation).

* Investment sales and purchases including reporting on title, raising enquiries, drafting and negotiating contract documentation and dealing with all post completion requirements.

Experience in acting on behalf of lenders (whether by way of joint representation or otherwise) on secured lending work is also desirable.

Alongside the requisite technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent client management skills, strong researching and drafting ability, and a commitment to maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice. Experience with business development is also an advantage.

The role is most likely to suit a solicitor with up to 6 years PQE. Newly qualified solicitors will be considered where it can be demonstrated that they have gained a solid grounding in commercial property during the course of their training contract.
