About the Role

 

Royds Withy King have a dedicated specialist team of lawyers who are committed to recovering maximum compensation for clients suffering from industrial disease such as mesothelioma, lung

cancer and asbestosis.

 

To consistently deliver a high standard of legal advice to clients in a commercially astute

manner, delivering outstanding client service at all times. To assist with the marketing of the ID team's services and undertaking business development activities to build on the team's and firms reputation for excellence and attract new sources of work'

 

  • Independently manage a caseload of asbestos disease files - predominantly mesothelioma but also including lung cancer, asbestosis and diffuse pleural thickening - from instruction to

    conclusion.

  • Deal directly with clients to take instructions and consider all sources of asbestos exposure,

    decide tactically the most appropriate defendant(s) to pursue and ensure full understanding

    by the client in order to deliver the best possible outcome,

  • Travel nationally and sometimes internationally to visit clients at home to take instructions'
  • Delegate appropriate level work to juniors in the team to ensure cases are progressed

    speedily and to achieve maximum utilisation of time.

  • Raise personal profile by developing relationships with specialist doctors, nurses, experts and
    Counsel. Use and actively maintain social media profiles

  • Develop a network of contacts and potential referrers; attend relevant networking events including conferences such as NLCFN and BTOG, social events, support group meetings and
    similar.

 

 

About You

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years expereince of claimant asbestos matters.
  • Experience within Industrial Disease, in particular mesothelioma or asbestosis, area of law.
  • Ability to manage own files with minimal supervision.
  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service.
  • Organised and able to effectively prioritise.
