We’re a national law firm with a local reach. Our philosophy is ‘Expert Hand, Human Touch’ – something you’ll find in the way we work with our clients and how we support our teams. But, we’re more than just a law firm – we’re a team, working together to help individuals and businesses navigate life’s ups and downs.

Whichever team you join, working here you’ll feel a part of our friendly and inclusive environment. We’ll value you for who you are and what you bring. We support each other and push boundaries to achieve incredible things, and make a real difference to our clients and communities.

The work we do has been recognised in the awards we’ve won. We’re committed to being even better, and our awards help to show we’re on the right track.

Our Team

Our recent work includes:

* Multi-million pound settlement for a young woman after suffering an unavoidable stroke

* Eight figure settlement for a young boy who suffered brain injury following his birth due to untreated hypoglycaemia

* Inquest representation and out of court settlement for the mother of a 2 year old child who died as a result of failures on the part of NHS 111 service.

You can read about our client stories here.

Your Role

You’ll provide quality legal advice to the firm’s clients under appropriate supervision and training, managing your own high quality caseload from the outset. Your aim will be to obtain interim payments wherever possible, so that we can put rehabilitation, a care package and suitable accommodation in place before the claim is concluded. As a team, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life of our clients. You’ll join the Medical Negligence team in Cambridge and its head Guy Forster, who has been named as Leading Individual in The Legal 500 United Kingdom 2021. Guy acts for both adults and children who have suffered brain injury, spinal injury such as cauda equina syndrome, or those who have suffered avoidable amputations.

“For me, the most rewarding aspect is guiding a client along the way to achieving their aims, whether they are securing compensation to fund vital care and therapy needs, or simply getting the answers or apology they were seeking at the outset.” – Guy Forster

What You’ll Be Doing

* Take instructions from clients and give legal advice.

* Opportunity to manage own caseload, while also assisting the Partners and senior team members on High Value cases.

* Review cases and other relevant matters with supervisor to ensure quality legal advice is provided.

What We’re Looking For

* 0-5 PQE with a Medical Negligence background

* Highly organised

* Commercial awareness

* Ability to work collaboratively and independently

* Ability to work in a pressurised environment

We're proud of our values, and we're looking for people who share them:

* To be pioneering with an imaginative outlook

* To be approachable and caring

* To be tenacious in the pursuit of our objectives

* To be efficient in the provision of our services

If this sounds like you, we’d love to receive your application

What we can offer you

* 25 days annual leave, with the opportunity to buy additional leave

* Two fundraising days in a year to give back to the community (fully paid!)

* Westfield Health membership, offering discounted leisure and travel and refunds on medical services

We also offer a huge number of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace as well as flexible working options to ensure that you are fully supported to work the way that best suits you. Our social responsibility programme is fundamental to who we are. We’re committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace where our colleagues can flourish.
