The Commercial Technology and Data team currently comprises of 7 partners, 9 associates, 2 trainees and a PSL.

The candidate should have strong commercial experience, consistent with the broad range of work the team does in:

Commercial contracts , including outsourcing, distribution and procurement

Technology contracts including software licences, development and system implementations, acting for suppliers and users

Telecoms contracts and regulation

E-commerce and consumer regulation relating to digital work

Data Protection


Inward investment

Corporate support including due diligence and transitional services agreements


We are seeking a team player who has developed excellent drafting skills and is looking for the next step in their career. It is expected that the successful candidate will have a broad commercial technology experience working with companies at all stages and able to lead on advising on business models as well as commercial risks associated with them. The successful candidate will be expected to lead matters (with support as necessary from partners and other senior members of the team), communicate effectively with other team members and the wider firm and play an active role in all areas of the team and the firm.


Candidates must be UK qualified with 4-7 years PQE in the UK preferably with City experience. Industry experience will also be looked upon favourably.

The following experience/skills are essential:

Excellent analytical and drafting skills

A commercial focus

A proven track record in business development

A high level of client contact and previous responsibility for client files

Strong academics and technical ability

Salary: Competitive

Working Pattern: The standard Firm working hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday although we ask for flexibility from our employees as necessary to accommodate business needs. Taylor Wessing supports agile working, and the Talent Resourcing team would happily have conversations with potential candidates about how we could support agile or flexible working needs.
