Due to continued growth, we are looking to onboard a talented, ambitious Collective Actions Senior Associate to lead a new action involving a large volume of claimants. This role will report into the Principal Lawyer and directly manage a team of junior staff. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, group litigation claims against some of the world’s largest corporations represented by Magic Circle firms

We believe that location should not stop us from attracting top talent within the industry so location can be flexible for this role.

Responsibilities:

* Day to day point of contact with counsel and external stakeholders.

* Day to day management of the litigation and internal management.

* Detailed understanding of issues in the claim.

* Instructing experts and leading disclosure exercises.

* Volume action and banking/financial litigation.

* Establishing procedures relevant to the managing of clients.

* Understanding technical issues concerning the claim.

* Putting in place and managing processes and key deadlines.

About you:

* Ideally 6PQE+

* Previous experience at a Top Ranked or Legal 500 firm, preferably on banking/financial litigation matters

* Knowledge and experience of conducting litigation all the way through to trial and the ability to think independently and take the initiative.

* Overseeing financial aspects of matters including time recording, and debtor management in order to achieve your personal fee budget

* Building relationships with internal and external parties

* Line management of several junior staff

* Experience in both claimant/defendant litigation desirable

* Motivation and desire to continuously develop own technical expertise

* A willingness to support others and be a strong team player

* An adaptable approach and the ability to foster a culture of positive change
