The Risk & Knowledge Team works with lawyers and other colleagues around the business to develop and implement effective policies and procedures, respond to changing client expectations, and ensure compliance with new legislative and regulatory requirements. The team also manages the firm's insurance, claims and in-house legal matters, and oversees other issues affecting the firm's risk profile and reputation. Our team is successfully creating a robust framework for managing risk across all parts of our business, which continues to expand internationally. We are responsible for Eversheds Sutherland’s UK, Paris, Germany, Middle East and Asia businesses.

As part of the Risk & Knowledge Team, this role will involve working with the team on driving a sustainable high quality culture across the wider firm.

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for a broad range of activities, including:

providing secretarial and administrative support to the senior members of the Risk & Knowledge Team, including:

• diary management – arranging meetings, booking rooms, arranging travel; using the travel and diary systems

• general administration including expenses and general office tasks

• producing high quality urgent/confidential documents to ES House style

• pro-active and appropriate use of Outsourced Document Production teams

• assisting in opening new matters, proactively managing manual and electronic filing and archiving and collation

• dealing with incoming telephone calls in a professional and efficient manner and taking responsibility for dealing with appropriate queries

providing support for the Risk & Knowledge team more generally. The specific tasks will be subject to capacity; but may include:

• keeping the Risk & Knowledge team’s Insite pages up to date

• creating and updating e-learning and other training

• producing the regular reports produced by the team

• managing and monitoring training completion across the firm to ensure regulatory compliance

• keeping records for the team/firm such as insurance policy logs, external positions logs, breaches logs

• dealing with finance related tasks and financial reporting, providing support across the team, helping managing the team’s budgets

working with the Risk & Knowledge team on specific projects. The team deals with many projects including regulatory or legal change or firmwide projects and support will be needed on these

actively participating in International team initiatives, working with colleagues across IO to ensure the needs of the business are met

working with other members of the Risk & Knowledge team and wider business as required to support in the delivery of the firm's objectives on quality

• High level of IT literacy and the ability to pick up new technical systems quickly and to be able to trouble shoot problems
