Risk & Compliance Manager
Douglas Scott are proud to be working with a reputable firm based in the outskirts of Manchester in appointing a Risk & Compliance Manager to join them on a perm full time basis!
My client are only considering candidates who have at least 5 years experience as a Conveyancer- although this is not a Fee Earning role it is technical so you need this experience to be succesful.
-You will work with the Client Services Manager to produce an Audit Programme for teams engaged in transactional work from client inception to post completion
-You will audit those teams against that Audit Programme and provide reports to Team Leaders/Managers with regard to areas of non compliance with suggested remedial action
-You will work with the Client Services Manager to police compliance with the firm's process, procedures and use of case management system
-You will ensure our clients and introducers of business receive the best possible service at all times by reviewing the audits undertaken and making such recommendations as are appropriate
-You will work with the Exec Chair and the Client Services Manager to produce half yearly reports to the Board setting out your audit findings; identifying one off serious incidents and areas of potential systemic failure with recommended remedial action
-You will work with the Exec Chair and Client Services Manager to investigate formal complaints and/or allegations of negligence on files and provide timely reports to the Executive Chair with suggested responses
-You will work with the Client Services Manager to maintain a centralised register of complaints and notifications of circumstances of/claims for negligence against the firm
-You will as part of the Training & Development Team and working with the Client Services Manager devise relevant and effective training programmes to eliminate non-compliance issues and to improve the experience of clients in the transactional journey

To be considered you mus have:
At least 5 years' experience as a Conveyancer running your own complex caseload
Qualified to either Solicitor, CLC or Cilex level
Experienced in investigating and responding to highly technical complaints
Used to conducting file audits and reporting on findings
Excellent client care skills
Experience of using a case management system (we use Proclaim)
