Reporting Line
This role reports to the Legal Director and Head of Private Client Residential
Job Purpose
To handle a mixed residential caseload from initial instruction through to post completion whilst maintaining client care to the highest standard.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
To effectively deal with a manageable and varied caseload in residential conveyancing
To maintain and build upon exiting client relationships
To supervise the team in the absence of the Legal Director
To work to strict deadlines in a pressurised but friendly environment
To liaise with support staff (i.e. Legal Secretaries, Paralegals and Trainee Paralegals) in a positive and proactive manner.
To maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records for clients.
To act as a positive ambassador for Davies and Partners Solicitors
To undertake appropriate and relevant staff development on a regular basis

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. This role will require applicants who are offered employment to be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings as well as convictions.

Legal Status
Appropriate DBS disclosure will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
Right to live and work in the UK, e.g. valid UK passport or appropriate visa/work permits.
Education/ Qualifications
Solicitor or FCILEx qualified
CLC registered
2 years+ PQE - desirable

Possess a detailed understanding of Property Law
Ability to maintain and build upon existing client relationships
The ability to take on a supervisory role in the absence of the Legal Director, and to be able to mentor/assist others in the team
Self-organised and proactive

Adaptable to the needs of the business as changes occur during the operational requirements
Competent in the effective use of Information and Communications Technologies (lCT).
