Reinsurance / Coverage Solicitor - This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with the lead Senior Partner in the team who is a key player in the London re-insurance market.

The successful candidate will assist the Partner on a broad range of complex, high-value matters including international insurance work and disputes of over £100m as well as reinsurance coverage claims. Work can include complex claims, multi-party disputes and cross jurisdiction cases as well as some regulatory work including areas such as corporate manslaughter.

• Previous Experience: Ideally a good commercial insurance litigation background. Experience in re-insurance and coverage work would be ideal, coupled with strong academics.

Complex reinsurance and coverage work - often Lloyds-related

The London team advises on all manner of high-value reinsurance and insurance coverage work including multi-million-pound disputes. Lines of business can vary including disputes arising out of:

• Reinsurance;
• D&O insurance;
• Cyber;
• disputes between insurers and their cover holders.

The team is also heavily involved in drafting policy wordings as well as training Lloyd's underwriters. The team also has a general interest in promoting thought leadership in this incredibly specialised area of law.

Broad range of experience and transferable skills welcome

Ideally you will have a strong background in reinsurance work or other areas of commercial insurance work. You will be assisting one of the leading lawyers in the market and a key Partner in the firm. In particular, you will be supporting with all aspects of the litigation process including in the Commercial Court, in London arbitrations as well as other disputes in other jurisdictions.

You will be involved in everything from considering issues of coverage, liability, quantum and strategy to drafting instructions to counsel, conducting investigations as well as legal research.

Wide range of PQE

This is an exciting and challenging role where no two days will ever be the same. The Partner is considering a broad range of PQE from NQ to 10 years + so don't hesitate to get in touch should you feel you have the requisite experience.

Remote working / hybrid working available

Our client has always taken an advanced approach to remote / hybrid working. It should be stressed that candidates are not required to be based in London, although there will be a requirement to attend the London offices from time to time.
