The HR department is responsible for the provision of a full range of HR services to the Firm including recruitment and resourcing, talent management, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, staff welfare, compliance and maintenance of personnel records.
The Recruitment team is very well regarded and its focus is on direct hiring. Therefore, we are looking for someone with experience of this who wants to make an impact on the success of the firm moving forwards through the introductions they make. The team currently consists of a Head of Recruitment, 4 Recruitment Managers, 2 Resourcers and 2 Assistants and forms part of the wider HR team. This position will report into Nikki Colleran, Recruitment Manager.
It is expected that the successful candidate's time will be spent researching and sourcing fee earning candidates and business services candidates. They will specialise in hiring of paralegals, however will work across all areas. Part of the role will include arranging interviews, supporting hiring managers by attending interviews and overseeing the new joiner onboarding process. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in wider recruitment and HR based projects across the team.
The team have an agile working policy which means each individual has flexibility with their working hours; working 35 hours a week.
Manage an efficient end to end recruitment process for Paralegals in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Belfast
Work alongside the Recruitment Managerto manage the recruitment cycle for Business service vacancies frim wide
Utilise a variety direct recruitment tools available, from direct approaches to job boards, LinkedIn and social media to identify, engage candidates with specific skill sets through an efficient process and sharing the details of those identified with the recruitment manager
Help develop the employer brand and look into new ways to improve the talent pool of candidates, by keeping the potential pool of candidates warm and engaged using interactive communication
Liaise with Managing Partner and Head of departments in Manchester to discuss recruitment
Managing the end to end recruitment process of Business service apprenticeships, this involves: briefing with Manager, draft and advertise role, preparing material and managing the assessment centres and liaising with apprenticeship providers.
Carry out research to market map for roles and keeps information up to date
Work closely with the Recruitment Manager to understand the needs of the vacancy and to identify potential candidate leads
Drafting consultant agreements
Conduct HR induction in Manchester
Interview scheduling and co-ordination when required
You will also have the opportunity to support the team on new recruitment initiative
Key Skills and Experience
Proven experience of working in a recruitment environment, agency or in-house
Experience within a legal recruitment agency, professional services or law firm environment
Proven track record of researching/ resourcing direct candidates for all roles regardless of level using tools such as LinkedIn and other relevant channels
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with people at all levels in the firm
Self-motivated and works well independently
A positive attitude in line with the values of Fieldfisher
Ability to prioritise workload and to balance varied requirements
A full understanding and appreciation of maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work well as part of a small team and promotion of the team to internal clients
