The Team

Our Real Estate Occupiers team have handled some of the market’s largest and most high profile Occupier deals across the U.K. . We act on portfolios of all sizes across a number of sectors ranging from the automotive sector, hotel sector, retail sector, defence and life sciences.

We are currently acting on the acquisition and development of bespoke U.K. Headquarters buildings for two separate International IT Businesses. We deal with all aspects of the portfolio of a major international chemicals manufacturer and a major automotive and electrical goods manufacturer. Working closely with our real estate litigation team we provide seemless property management advice to our occupier clients.

We are keen to appoint an Associate to join our established Real Estate Transactional team.

Responsibilities

* Assisting partners with all aspects of occupier acquisitions, development, disposals

* The management of individual properties and property portfolios, including the taking and renewal of leases and licences and rent reviews for a range of good quality international and U.K. occupiers

* Acting on new lettings for occupiers including agreements for lease with works

* Assisting on large scale sales and purchases portfolio transactions including dealing with certificates of title;

* High levels of client contact and client liaison responsibilities;

* Assisting on due diligence for corporate acquisitions and financing.

Key Skills & Experience

* Qualified lawyer with good experience in real estate transactions and Corporate Support work.

* Relevant ‘hands-on’ work experience and client management skills

* Good knowledge of English Land Law and Landlord and Tenant law.

* Previous experience of acting for occupier clients would be an advantage

* Strong interpersonal skills and sound time/case management skills

* Strong academic record.
