The Pursuit and Proposals team are sales specialists working across the UK, who support client teams from first engagement, through the proposal and pitch process, to closing the deal. As a pursuit and proposals manager your focus will be on ensuring that the right strategy is put in place for the opportunity and helping teams execute the pursuit in the most efficient and effective way.

What you’ll be doing
There’s lots of variety. You will be leaned on and turned to for support and advice for all stages of Pursuit and will be expected to collaborate with other members of the legal pursuits team to ensure a fair distribution of workload.
Relationships are key and managing and building on them across such a large stakeholder group may be one of your biggest challenges.
Full proposal management service across the Legal Team, including advice and practical support throughout the process, scoping and clarifications, project management, interaction with the global legal network, ‘holding the pen’ on the response documents and document structuring and drafting of non-technical responses.
Coaching and development of supporting meeting materials (placemats, meetings cards, capability statements etc.) for oral presentations and targeting and positioning meetings.
Maintenance of central legal proposal repositories, and proposal-ready materials (credentials etc.), templates etc.
Act as the central point for any queries re: legal pursuit and proposal related activities
Helping draft proposal documents and collateral, including cover letters, executive summaries, team and CV information, and firm experience
* Proactive innovation and creativity to deliver proposals in different ways
* Reviewing and amending proposal document and collateral
* Legal Opportunity Identification - daily review of publicly available information about new opportunities and disseminating potential legal opportunities to relevant SMEs
Conducting client feedback and post decision reviews
You’ll have excellent project management, writing skills and coaching skills and an ability to think commercially and see the bigger picture. You’ll need to be able and have the confidence to provide your views and challenge and support teams in a constructive manner and build on relationships across the region. You’ll need patience and to be flexible, to understand that with such a broad geography and group of stakeholders there is no one right way.
It would be great if you have experience of working in professional services and pursuits, although not essential.
Experienced, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in delivering proposal management and bid advice for high value proposals.
Experience of proposal coaching, advising and proposals support with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
Self starter able to work effectively as part of a team.
Creative and innovative approach.
Excellent proven project management skills.
Excellent writing skills, used to crafting non technical content
Experience of managing diverse senior stakeholder groups.
Proactive with a positive ‘can do’ approach.
Emotional intelligence and an ability to flex style to the situation.
Deep understanding of legal products and our legal business

* Strong communication skills, including confidence to regularly liaise with senior stakeholders
Location: London offices - Embankment Place and More London
Hours: Ideally full-time (37.5 hours per week) but will consider 4 days per week (30 hours+)
