Job description: We are recruiting for a Property Locum to join a Lancashire based Local Authority on a full-time basis, for a period of 3 months (with potential to extend further).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join on a mainly remote basis. Ideally, the successful candidate would be willing to travel to the office on a fortnightly basis, but fully remote can be negotiated. Travel to the office on the first day, to collect equipment and meet the team is essential.

The successful candidate will:

• Handle a general caseload of Property matters with minimal supervision
• Liaise with external law firms that are handling the outsourced regeneration projects
• Provide advice and draft documents in relation to property matters including (but not limited to) routine sales (purchasing and selling council owned land), Section 106 agreements, landlord and tenant, freehold/leasehold acquisitions and disposals, development agreements

Salary: £50 - £55 per hour

The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Solicitor with previous Local Authority experience. The Council are looking for someone immediately.
