Job Description | Business Services – Professional Support Lawyer The Role Department: Knowledge Management Location: London Role: Professional Support Lawyer

The Team To support the firm's highly regarded Global Insurance practice with predominantly client
facing output and initiatives.

This role will involve regularly working alongside lawyers in the firm’s UK and international
network

Key Responsibilities  Responsible for client facing technical legal content and knowledge development  Providing strategic knowledge and development support to partners worldwide  Develop legal content for client seminars and knowledge development events
(increasingly with an international dimension)  Preparing market insight reports  Client innovation initiatives  Preparing client operational reports  Client updates on important legal and sector developments  Preparing articles / content for industry publications  Administer the client knowledge section on the firm's website  Run internal training programs  Assisting with the seminar and articles programmes for clients with innovative ideas,
preparation as appropriate.  Involvement in drafting client briefings, internal newsletters and ad hoc notes on cases
for external/internal circulation.  Assisting with the drafting/updating of key specific know how documents and practice
guides  Ad-hoc legal research and development  Input into insurance sector-wide research, development and thought leadership
initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience  Legally qualified ideally no less than 5 years’ PQE working in a leading insurance
practice  Candidates with development potential to become a trusted advisor to partners and fee
earners on a wide variety of insurance focused legal and market issues  Good client-facing skills  Genuine appetite to move to a professional support role  Qualified Solicitor/Barrister, University Degree – minimum 2:1  Strong academics  Trained with a recognised quality insurance practice  Capability and genuine interest to develop knowledge and expertise in new areas of
insurance law  Good knowledge of current market developments and commercial awareness  Strong organisational, communication and project management skills.  Demonstrable ability to deliver training as required.  Able to work well with others.  Excellent research skills and experience of using on-line resources.  Good IT skills are essential.  Pro-active and imaginative
