However, this is a notoriously difficult area for which to recruit. Therefore, applications from candidates with good commercial or general litigation background are also strongly encouraged.

The role will involve everything from legal research to drafting instructions to counsel and liaising with the various parties involved with a particular claim. Furthermore, candidates should:

  • be able to identify issues such as breach of duty of care and causation;
  • be able to demonstrate a strong academic record;
  • possess excellent attention to detail;
  • have excellent communication skills.
