Job summary

We have an excellent opportunity within Private Sector New Business Development / Origination here at Browne Jacobson LLP. Working as part of our fantastic Client and Marketing department, we are looking for someone who will take the lead on targeted new business development for the Private Sector, working with all our service lines and offices. This role is responsible for lead generation, and you will work with the partners to convert established leads.

You will have an excellent track record of sales through lead generation in the professional services sectors. As someone with a results-driven mentality, you will be self-motivated and will have fantastic relationship building skills through networking, telesales and email communication.

We are open to this position being based out of our Nottingham, Manchester or Birmingham offices. Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone who will be flexible with regards to travel for business development purposes.

Here at Browne Jacobson, we operate an agile working policy; therefore there is some scope for working from home. Our agile way of working is also a great opportunity for you to ‘hot desk’ and get to know other members of your team!

Our Nottingham, Manchester and Birmingham offices are centrally located and easily accessible via a number of public transport links.

* Track record of sales through lead generation in the professional services sectors. Results driven and self-motivated to follow up

* Fantastic relationship building skills through networking, telesales and email communication

* Integrity coupled with a strong customer service ethos

* Working to deadlines

* Ability to spot opportunities and the confidence and gravitas to act on them

* Genuine passion for selling our legal services

* Experience of CRM system updating

* Trusted Advisor: To be a positive, credible, trusted advisor to the business, treating colleagues outside the team as clients, challenging constructively, and making things easier for them. Leading the way in best practice learning from inside and outside the sector, and ensuring quality deliverables within deadlines within the client and marketing team

* Collaborating: Working as a seamless team from a business perspective, and advocating and supporting colleagues.

* Facilitating collaboration: Helping the business join-up and collaborate (across departments, sectors and regions).

* Communication skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail.

* Measuring success: Regularly measuring effectiveness (output/ROI), rather than activity, and feeding back subsequent recommendations to the business, raising awareness of our value.

* Able to travel for business development purposes. There is an expectation that the role will require substantial time in Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester, and some time in London.
