The Team

The strategic purpose of Knowledge Management ("KM") is to ensure that all those involved in delivering legal advice to clients have access to the knowledge and information they require to deliver a technically excellent, efficient service.

Commercial Construction offers both a commercial and contentious service to clients and is ranked Number 1 in both Chambers UK and the Legal 500.

It is described in Chambers 2016 as “market-leading” and “notable for its high-quality offerings across front and back-end matters on a national and international level. Acts on significant matters for major players on the supplier and purchaser sides. Sector strengths include infrastructure and property development…”.

The Opportunity

Working as part of the marketing leading team, you will help the Commercial Construction team develop their external profile by suggesting topics for/drafting briefing papers, thought leadership pieces and designing know-how products to market to clients. You will design and deliver internal training to Commercial Construction Lawyers.

This is a 9 months fixed term contract.

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidate will be a senior Commercial Construction Lawyer (whether Professional Support Lawyer or Associate of 5 years+ PQE seeking a change). To be successful in the role, you will be able to use your technical skills and sector understanding to assist in product development, business development, client support, internal training and knowledge development.

You will be familiar with using legal research tools (including online resources such as LexisNexis Butterworths, Westlaw, PLC).

The right candidate will have significant amount of experience as a Commercial Construction Practitioner, including excellent drafting and communications skills. You will have the gravitas to win the respect of the Partners and be able to establish a rapport with legal staff at all levels within the firm.
