Planning Lawyer - Essex / Cambridgeshire

Upon joining a highly regarded and successful commercial property department which advises a broad range real estate, commercial leases, land deals, renewable energy and telecommunication matters. This supportive team works well together to grasp complex problems quickly and suggest commercially viable solutions for their clients, and you will form an integral part of the department advising clients on a wide range of planning and development matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key aspects include:

• Drafting and negotiating section 106 and other infrastructure agreements
• Managing and overseeing planning applications, appeals and enquiries
• Advising in relation to listed building and planning control, including enforcement action, compulsory purchase and compensation
• Advising on contentious planning matters, including judicial review and planning enquiries and Community Infrastructure Levy
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities by way of marketing initiatives, events and networking

It is likely for this role, you will have a minimum of 4 years PQE and used to managing your own caseload specialising in planning law with an understanding of regulations and policies and proven experience in handling complex planning applications.
