Personal Injury Paralegal EL/PL - Pre-litigation and MOJ Portal stages 1-3 - £17,000 - £20,000

Personal Injury Paralegal EL/PL - An exciting role has arisen with this claimant pre-litigation EL/PL team which offers a personal injury paralegal the chance to develop their experience of general personal injury work. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of the MOJ Portal, specifically stages 2 and 3.

  • Job Title: Personal Injury Paralegal - EL/PL MOJ Portal
  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £17,000 - £20,000
  • Reports to: Team Leader
  • Expertise: Ideally at least 6 months EL/PL experience as a personal injury paralegal at stages 1-3 of the MOJ Portal. Candidates with a claimant or defendant background will be considered.

The claimant personal injury team of this leading firm has undergone a period of recent investment and is now looking to hire a number of prelitigation and MOJ Portal fee earners with EL/PL experience. The team has been re-organised to allow fee earners to focus on EL/PL matters and the nature of the department is such that lawyers handle the claim from inception through to negotiation and settlement. Fee earners also have the opportunity to gain experience of other specialist areas such as clinical negligence.

A number of MOJ team members have progressed into the litigated department. This has also increased the demand more junior prelitigation fee earners to come through the ranks. The team promote from within wherever possible, so this piece of recruitment is designed to bring in new talent to help support the team.

The successful applicant will be working on the latest systems to ensure fee earners can focus on what they do best. The team is highly forward thinking and dynamic so expect a positive and supportive environment.

The firm is ideally looking for EL/PL paralegals of fee earners who have a clear understanding of the MOJ portal. Those with knowledge of stages 1, 2 and / or 3 should apply. Furthermore, the following attributes are also important:

  • The ability to work well in a team environment;
  • An ability to work quickly and accurately whilst maintaining client service levels; and
  • The ability to meet targets and deadlines.

Personal injury paralegals who demonstrate the right ability will be in an excellent position to progress to litigated work within the firm. This is a practice which believes in recognising talent and progressing ambitious personal injury paralegals up through the ranks where possible. It is worth noting that there is the opportunity to progress to supervisor and team leader positions for the right candidate.
