PERSONAL INJURY MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE PERSONAL INJURY MANAGER 

As a Personal Injury Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operation of our portal function. In the short-term your extensive portal experience will be utilised to support a project team with process development, testing, and implementation. Moving forward you will manage our portal team to drive performance of admitted portal claims and pre-issue RTA. You will lead the team to deliver strong operational results for the business, whilst keeping the customer experience at the forefront of all interactions. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS PERSONAL INJURY MANAGER 

  • Develop, enhance and test end-to-end customer and portal processes
  • Work closely with the project and IT team on CMS development and delivery, ensuring the end product is fit for purpose and future-proof
  • Assist our Learning & Development team with the development and delivery of portal and CMS training   
  • Be a people leader, influencing the team to deliver strong results
  • Review medicals and value claims, signing off claim valuations prior to offers being initiated / made; 
  • Monitor KPI performance in line with the commercial needs of the business
  • Ensure team’s knowledge is up-to-date and being correctly applied
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the team and full end-to-end employee cycle
  • Be results driven, striving for the highest levels of employee engagement, performance excellence and customer service standards
  • Proactively develop ways to improve efficiency, quality and general performance of the team, regular reviewing of procedures and systems to identify any inefficiencies  
  • Be an ambassador for quality, assessing settlements for training and coaching purposes, ensuring quality assessment is accurate to achieve regulatory and legal requirements
  • Be a role model for others, providing feedback and coaching to deliver improvements
  • Create an environment that engages high performing individuals to excel, whilst maintaining an environment which supports the spirit of teamwork, open and honest communication and the sharing of ideas and best practice
  • Proactively establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside of the Admissions team to ensure that activities and performance of the team are in line with the needs of the business
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our market to ensure the team is and remains fit for purpose 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO BE A PERSONAL INJURY MANAGER 

  • Significant Claimant PI experience; MOJ portal and pre-issue
  • Experience of stages 1 – 3
  • Understand PI processes, including medicals valuations and part 36 offers
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand, analyse, and effect change utilising MI
  • Experienced in managing change and introducing new ways of working in a team
  • Able to feedback to others to improve processes and drive future performance
  • Able to work interdepartmentally, managing stakeholder relationships constructively
  • Thrive and operate in a fast-paced organisation
