Paralegal - Solihull

HCB Solicitors Limited are currently looking for an ambitious LPC graduate to work as a Paralegal within our Litigation team.

Following the relevant legislation and policies will be a key part of the role so you will need a good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, Solicitors Regulation Authority policies and procedures and other relevant codes of practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
* Draft pleadings, statements of case and pre-issue documentation and file with the court as appropriate
* Perform administrative duties (comply and adhere to deadlines, organise case files, manage files etc)
* Organise exhibits, documents, evidence, and briefs
* Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
* Liaise with internal/external third parties
* Provide assistance with larger claims undertaken by senior solicitors

Person Specification

* The ideal candidate will bring with them/be:
* At least one years experience working within a similar role (this is desirable although not essential)
* Great communication skills and an ability to work well with others
* Ability to work under time constraints and prioritise work load
* Able to handle sensitive matters discreetly
* Good organisation skills with a methodical approach
* Self-motivated and proactive
* Deliver excellent service to clients and colleagues
