About the Role

Based in the beautiful city of Bath, our successful Personal Injury team have a new opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to support and manage a variety of fast track and multi track cases, primarily for clients suffering limb loss or chronic pain.


In this role you will take instructions from potential new clients, risk assess new cases, whilst consistently delivering a high standard of legal advice in a commercially astute manner.

Other key aspects of this role will include:

  • Under take legal processes such as obtaining, collating and scheduling medical records; preparing basic schedules of loss; liaising by telephone with clients, defendants, counsel, experts; paying invoices; reconciling ledgers at case conclusion and liaising with external costs companies etc
  • Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates which address all relevant legal and factual issues and accurately reflect the client’s instructions
  • Undertake effective legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results accurately and clearly
  • Raise personal profile and attract delegated work; take responsibility for aspects of BD projects within the department
  • Be responsible for aspects of business development projects in the department
  • Research and draft articles, blogs and assist with the production of marketing materials
  • Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts and potential referrers; attend relevant networking events
  • Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently on own and others’ files and matters

About You

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within a Paralegal or Legal Assistant role and strong working knowledge of using Claimant Portal (Essential)
  • Proven background working within Personal Injury at portal, small and multi track level, ideally dealing with injuries sustained by way of RTA, EL & PL.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability the effectively prioritise in a fast paced environment.
  • Client focused and ability to provide an outstanding service at all times.
  • Ability to undertake basic legal work under supervision.
