A thriving local authority with a strong regional presence is seeking a Property Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis.

The Role:

The locum contract will run for a minimum for 6 months and is it likely to be extended beyond this initial term. This position has arisen due to an internal promotion.

The successful locum Property Lawyer will be joining a well-established and skilled team. Due to the experience and versatility of the team, they can tailor the workload to your skillset and preference. They can consider candidates who are seeking commercial property, regeneration and/or residential property work. In essence, you will be able to choose what type of work you want to focus on. The team deal with some high-value, complex projects so you have the chance to get involved with these should you wish.

Selling Points:

• Caseload - can be tailored to your experience and you can be involved in interesting, complex projects if you wish.
• Rare opportunity - this property team, and the council's legal department overall, is very stable and they rarely have openings available, so it is a great opportunity to join them!
• Remote/flexible working - they would ideally like you to attend the office once a fortnight but are open to requests for remote working. They are flexible around personal commitments such as schools runs and caring responsibilities.
• Modern IT systems and laptops
• Very friendly, collegiate and experienced team with good management - consisting of 6 Lawyers, 4 Paralegals, plus access to a Business Support team.

Start Date & Hours:

Our client can take on a locum straight away but they are also open to waiting until mid-September for the ideal candidate to start, at the latest.

They are ideally seeking someone who can work full-time hours (36 hours) but they will also consider requests for 4 days per week.
