Locum Commercial Property Lawyer – £40-£45 per hour – West Midlands – 3 days per week

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This role will run for 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter, and will pay up to £45 per hour Umbrella. This assignment is part-time for 3 days per week and will operate on a remote working basis for the foreseeable future.

The ideal candidate will be a practising Lawyer possessing previous Commercial Property experience. Previous Local Government experience is essential for this role and unfortunately applicants without this experience will not be considered.

Duties may include:

  • Negotiating the grant of new leases on behalf of the Authority

  • Dealing with licenses, warranties and contracts to enable works to be carried out

  • Agreeing compensation relating to loss of business premises

  • Dealing with Terminations by Notice and Surrenders by Agreement of existing leaseholds

  • Completing rent reviews

  • Drawing up agreements for the relocation of tenants

  • Dealing with Residentialy Property matters including housing for the homeless when required
