Locum Commercial Property Lawyer – East Midlands – 3 months – Full time – Remote working – Up to £55 per hour Outside IR35

Venn Groups specialist public sector legal term are working with a reputable Local Authority seeking a Locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join their team in East Midlands.

Role: Locum Commercial Property Lawyer

Duration: 3 months initial contract with the likelihood of extension thereafter

Working Arrangement: Approximately 30 hours per week, remote working

Rate: Up to £55 per hour Outside IR35

This is an attractive role for Qualified Lawyers (either Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX) seeking their next locum role within Local Government as you will be joining a friendly Commercial Property team assisting with their caseload. This is an appealing opportunity for Locums as the Authority are paying up to £55 per hour Outside IR35 for this assignment.

Duties for this role may include:

• Handling a varied caseload dealing with all aspects of commercial property and liaising with the Councils clients looking to promote and develop their property portfolio
• Assisting the Commercial Property team with various matters including advising on s.278 agreements, acquisitions, disposals and all landlord and tenant matters
• Effectively managing a varied property portfolio, advising on any lease renewals and negotiating on new lettings and variations to extend the portfolio
• Liaising and negotiating with multiple agencies and client interests within the third sector and charitable organisation, whilst representing the Councils client and negotiating on their behalf with third parties
